Summer Term 2019
This term our topic is called "Where my wellies take me." It is a local geography based topic, and we will be getting out and about, investigating our local area. We are looking forward to a visit to Warburton's farm, a trek to Taurus Crafts and the deer park, and a visit to Blakeney Brook at Wenchford where we are hoping to be releasing eels into the brook. This will be the culmination of a joint project with Wye Valley Smokery, looking after a tank of baby eels, learning about their life-cycle and finding out about the local eel fishing industry. It's going to be a busy term, full of interesting learning! Find out more about our learning from our overview below.
Class 2 are going all out to learn multiplication tables.
We are aiming to know all our multiplication facts by the end of Year 4.
We have been pattern spotting, investigating patterns, skip counting, chanting and singing songs to help us learn the multiples and order of multiplication tables. We have been playing games where we have to remember the facts quickly without counting up.
Try this game to practice the multiplication table that you are working on at the moment.
Homework will be sent home in a book on a Thursday. Please look out for it! It will need to be handed in by the following Wednesday.
